Sustainability reporting supports an organisation’s analysis, measurement, disclosure and communication of key sustainability performance indicators. Organisations that implement sustainability reporting could be more efficient as operation inefficiencies could be indentified and improved. It also improves relationships with stakeholders as organisations could demonstrate their commitment towards improving their economic, environmental and social performance. As such, Singapore Environment Institute, ACCA Singapore and Singapore Compact for CSR are jointly organising the Sustainability Reporting Workshop to equip organisations with the knowledge to start or enhance their own sustainability reporting.

The objectives of the workshop aim to address the following issues:
# What is Sustainability Reporting?
# How relevant is it – locally, regionally & globally?
# How does reporting relate to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)?
# How does reporting relate to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)?
# Why are some institutional investors looking at reporting?
# Why has reporting become a business issue?
# How to go about producing a report – step by step guidance

The sustainability reporting workshop is based on the Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) Reporting Guidelines Version 3, commonly known as GRI G3. ACCA Singapore has produced a Sustainability Reporting Handbook based on the G3 framework which has been adapted to suit the local context. Participants of the workshop will receive a complimentary copy of the Handbook.

A speaker from KPMG will give a presentation on identifying gaps and opportunities to improve the organisation’s triple bottomline. An organisation will share their experiences and benefits of producing a sustainability report.
